COVID-19
INACTIVE - Follow-up of COVID-19

Leah (33 years old)

Leah is a 33-year-old healthy and sporty elementary school teacher. 3 months ago, she started coughing, felt dyspnoeic and very tired, and had fever (38.6 °C). Her PaO2 was 97% at rest and 94% when exercising. She suffered from tachycardia (± 125 bpm), but her lung auscultation was normal. You diagnosed COVID-19, although at that time it was not possible to test due to the national testing strategy. Coughing and fatigue persisted for weeks, with up and down fever and tachycardia. Lung scan, blood tests and extra cardiologic and pulmonological specialist advice did not lead to a different diagnosis.

After 3 months, Leah still has symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, dizziness, headache, heart palpitations and muscle pain. She tells you that she sleeps very badly, and that she is crying a lot.
