Carla (35 years old)

Carla, a 35-year-old woman, comes to your practice in her 3rd day of acute diarrhoea in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. She has no relevant medical history and is not taking any medication. She is not vomiting. She does not have anosmia nor ageusia, but she has had a headache since the beginning. However, she does not present any respiratory symptoms.

The number of bowel movements per day is between 3 and 5. Stools are liquid without blood or other abnormal secretions.

Examination:

  • Chest auscultation is normal
  • Abdomen auscultation shows increased bowel movements
  • No other abnormal findings
