Barbara (68 years old)

Barbara is a 68-year-old retired high school teacher who loves to go for long hikes in her newly gained free time. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer.

• Initial tumour size: cT2 (38 mm), initial lymph node status: cN1
• Tumour biology: ER 0%, PgR 0%, HER2 IHC 3+, G3
• CT scan chest/abdomen and bone scan: no metastases
• Neoadjuvant therapy: anthracycline/taxane + trastuzumab + pertuzumab
• Surgical therapy: breast conserving surgery and SLNB
  • Pathology report: residual invasive disease: ypT1c (12 mm), ypN0 (0/3 sn)
• Adjuvant therapy: regimen of anti-HER2 therapy + radiation therapy
