Danny (8 months old)

Danny is 8 months old and his mother rings you for advice. Danny is prone to mild wheeze, but is otherwise healthy. His mother was diagnosed with COVID-19 5 days ago, and Danny woke up this morning with a pyrexia of 38.2 °C. He also has mild diarrhoea, is a little more tired than usual, but is eating and drinking, and not vomiting. His respiratory rate is 26 bpm. He cheers up when given paracetamol. The mother asks if Danny should be tested for SARS-CoV-2.
