Frans (64 years old)

Frans, a 64-years-old retired school teacher, recently underwent a routine blood test that revealed a PSA of 8.8 ng/mL. Further workup resulted in the following findings:

 

  • DRE: normal

  • PV: 50 mL

  • Prostate biopsy: 12-core TRUS-guided biopsy was negative

  • Asymptomatic, no evidence of infection

Frans is otherwise healthy and has no major co-morbidities.
