Madelyn (66 years old)

Madelyn is a 66-year-old author of children's books. She is famous for her book series about the adventures of a little fairy named Lucy.

She was diagnosed 8 months ago with UCa of the bladder metastatic to the lungs and was treated with gemcitabine + cisplatin. The first scan showed a reduced metastatic burden, however, at the end of chemotherapy, the CT scan revealed progressive disease according to RECISTv1.1 with new and enlarging lung lesions.

The patient started atezolizumab 3 months ago and presents again today.

Assessment summary:

  • ECOG PS: 1; increasing breathlessness and cough
  • CT scan showed further tumour progression
  • FGFR2/3 mutation status in diagnostic biopsy specimen: activating FGFR3 mutation
