Bladder cancer
Management of M0 muscle-invasive bladder cancer beyond radical cystectomy

Jonas (78 years old)

Jonas, a 78-year-old retired flight attendant, recently became the proud grandfather of his tenth grandchild. Recently, he underwent RC + PLND without significant complications. Although he was eligible for chemotherapy, he declined neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The pathology of the RC specimen showed pT2b N1 UCa, negative surgical margins, presence of lymphovascular invasion. After surgery, he suffered from grade IV Clavien-Dindo complication (mechanical ileus, fascial dehiscence, wound healing disorder). Six weeks after surgery his ECOG PS is 3 and his eGFR 55 ml/min.
