Renal Cell Carcinoma
Local therapy for mRCC

Donna (67 years old)

Donna, 67 years old, appreciates the fine arts. Every other weekend, she visits a different museum with her grandson.

She was diagnosed with mRCC about 2 years ago. A CT scan showed a mass in the right kidney and 2 small lung nodules in right upper lobe (3 and 5 mm). She subsequently underwent cytoreductive nephrectomy.

After being lost to follow-up, this is her current status:

  • CT scan: largest lesion stable at 5 mm, but smallest lesion grown from 3 to 17 mm
  • CT-guided lung biopsy of growing lesion: confirmed metastatic ccRCC
  • No symptoms
  • ECOG PS: 0
  • KPS: 90%
  • Blood work: normal
