Unfortunately, he was recently diagnosed with RCC.
Assessment summary:
- ECOG PS: 0
- Rheumatoid arthritis controlled with methotrexate
- Thoracoabdominal and pelvic CT scan: right kidney tumour of 5 cm without LN involvement
He underwent radical nephrectomy of the right kidney 6 weeks ago.
Pathological findings:
- pT3a tumour of 6 cm, renal vein invasion
- WHO/ISUP grade 4 ccRCC
- Tumour necrosis present
- No sarcomatoid features
- Negative surgical margins
The patient has recovered after surgery and comes to you for check-up. No metastatic lesions were identified on post-surgery CT scan.
