Eva (72 years old)

Eva, 72 years old, presents with poor glycaemic control, hypertension, joint pain and brain fog, 2 months after acute COVID-19. She was hospitalized due to bilateral pneumonia, dyspnoea and general malaise. She takes metformin 500 mg, twice a day, for her diabetes.

She is on the obese side (BMI 29 kg/m2) and although she perseveres with her diet and moderate physical activity she cannot get her diabetes under control.
