Bladder cancer
Challenges in high-risk NMIBC

Martin (75 years old)

Martin, 75 years old and otherwise healthy, goes camping with his friends every 2 months. Besides a tent, they don’t bring much as they try to rely on their survival skills. Too bad because last time it took them 5 hours to light a campfire.

He recently underwent a TURBT of a papillary tumour at the right bladder wall, which was detected during a cystoscopic examination for painless haematuria.

Assessment summary

  • Resection visually complete
  • pTa HG
  • Tumour diameter: 4.5 cm
  • No LVI
  • No muscle in specimen
