Camila (72 years old)

Camila, 72 years old, is a retired dressmaker. Nevertheless, she still makes clothes for her grandchildren. She was diagnosed with early breast cancer after detecting a lump in her right breast on self-examination.

• Medical history: osteoporosis with a hip fracture 6 months ago
• No family history of breast or ovarian cancer
• Postmenopausal since age 51
• Stage and tumour biology at diagnosis:
  • cT2N0M0
  • ER 100%, PgR 100%, HER2 IHC 0, Ki67 15%
• Upfront BCS + SLNB
• Pathology report:
  • G2 lobular carcinoma
  • Unifocal, 28 mm, pT2
  • LVI or perineural invasion absent
  • R0 resection (free margins)
  • pN0 (0/3 sn)
• Multidisciplinary board meeting: postoperative RT and endocrine therapy + bisphosphonates
