Finding the right ADT for the right patientEd (66 years old)
Ed is a 66-year-old volunteer at a yearly local music festival. The organisation considers him essential for setting up and checking the sound system. He is referred to a urologist for haematospermia.
Assessment summary:
- Medical history: well controlled epilepsy
- Routine work up: new diagnosis of prostate adenocarcinoma
- T3aN0M0
- Prostate biopsy: ISUP grade 3 (Gleason score 3+4)
- PSA: 25 ng/ml
- Strong preference for EBRT as his definitive modality of treatment
- Quality of life is important to him, although he does not want to compromise his PCa treatment
Treatment plan: EBRT to prostate plus seminal vesicles ± ADT.
