Bladder cancer
First-line therapy of synchronous and metachronous metastatic UCaAmy (79 years old)
Amy, 79 years old, was very passionate about her job as a secretary for her not-so-organised boss. She is retired now, but still helps her self-employed grandson, who is a plumber, with his administration.
She was diagnosed with metastatic bladder cancer during a workup for haematuria.
Assessment summary:
- Medical history: diabetes and diabetic nephropathy
- CT scan of chest, abdomen and pelvis: pelvic lymph node metastases and diffuse liver metastases
- Biopsy compatible with UCa
- ECOG PS: 1
- Peripheral neuropathy: grade 1 due to diabetes
- No hearing impairment
- GFR: 45 ml/min due to diabetic nephropathy
- Cardiac ejection fraction: 70%
- PD-L1 expression: strongly positive
