Bladder cancer
Low- and intermediate-risk NMIBC: surveillance or intravesical therapy?Nick (67 years old)
Nick, 67 years old and otherwise healthy, is a retired pharmacist. As he is no person who sits at home every day, he decided to be a dog sitter after his retirement. He walks every day at least 2 hours with more than 5 dogs.
He underwent a transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TURBT) of a papillary tumour at the right bladder wall, which was detected during a cystoscopic examination for painless haematuria.
Early post-TURBT situation
- Resection visually complete
- Papillary tumour of 2 cm with a visual appearance suggesting a low-stage, low-grade (LG) superficial tumour
