Simone (42 years old)

Simone is a 42-year-old cosmetologist with a history of varicose veins. She recently moved to the suburbs to live with her elderly mother. As vaccination was deemed mandatory by her employer in 2021, she received 2 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine which was the only vaccine available at the time. She experienced inflammation of veins after her second dose manifested as red, painful and swollen veins on the lower part of her left leg. Signs of inflammation disappeared after one week of topical cream treatment, but she refused to receive a booster shot after this event. However, with the approaching autumn, she is worried and wishes to receive a booster shot now to protect herself and her elderly mother.
