Anna (28 years old)

Anna, 28 years old, is 30 weeks pregnant with her second child. She was vaccinated with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and received her booster 10 months ago. She has developed a fever and cough in the last 3 days and has just received her result that she tested positive for COVID-19. Anna’s pre-pregnancy BMI is 28 kg/m2 and she is a non-smoker. Anna has mild asthma, controlled by a low-dose steroid inhaler which she takes daily as prescribed. Her oxygen saturation is 98% on room air and she has a home pulse oximeter.

She mentions going to self-isolation for 7 days but staying physically active. She asks you what other measures should be taken.
