New hope for patients progressing after prior treatment for mUCaSébastian (76 years old)
Sébastian, 76 years old, felt too tired to attend the National Day celebrations in the main square, but he still proudly waved the national flag from his couch, his patriotic spirit undiminished.
He initially presented with UCa of the bladder with lung metastases and was treated with gemcitabine + carboplatin. After 6 cycles of chemotherapy, he has now progressive disease.
Assessment summary:
- ECOG PS: 0
- No peripheral neuropathy
- No hearing impairment
- GFR: 45 ml/min
- Haemoglobin: 11.8 g/dl
- CT scan reveals worsening of lung and new liver metastases
- FGFR2/3 alteration status in metastatic biopsy specimen: activating FGFR3 mutation
